PhysVis Project History
In October 2006 under the Fast Track Technology Programme the Dti awarded a grant of £400,000 to the PhysVis consortium AMTRI, ACG and Innoval. Shortly afterwards the project started to produce interesting results. Some of these results can be see in the press area.
In September 2007 AMTRI (Advanced Manufacturing Technology Research Institute) went into Administration. When AMTRI went into administration the TSB (Technology Strategy Board, ex Dti) placed the PhysVis project on hold until a new consortium was found to continue the project.
A new consortium of SimX (www.simx.co.uk), ACG and Innoval are currently in negotiation with the TSB about continuing the PhysVis project.
